Intramural Sports at Champlain

Intramural Sports seasons run on a semester schedule. You can expect our most popular league sports Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer to be a staple in the schedule each semester.

Intramural Sports are staffed by students and officiated by patched referees.

Intramural Sports are open to all current students, faculty, and staff of any skill or experience level.

Registration Required

Volleyball

Volleyball takes place in Argosy Gymnasium. Team sign up is required to enter the league. Depending on interest and popularity, we will play either 4-on-4 or 6-on-6. The league will cap at 6 teams.

Basketball

Drop-In Format

Dodgeball

Mondays
8:30-10:00 PM
Arogsy Gymnasium

Dodgeball is held every Monday starting at 8:30PM. Show up with a group of friends for a night of fun and good energy!
Soccer

Tuesdays
7:00-8:30 PM
Argosy Gymnasium

Soccer during the Spring is held inside Argosy Gymnasium, and is played in a drop in format.
Mario Kart

Mondays
7:00–9:00 PM
Joyce Hall, Room 203

Join us for an open Mario Kart league that culminates in playoffs at the end of the semester! This drop-in series is open to all skill levels.

Description

Rock Climbing is a great way to de-stress after long days of studying and schoolwork. It’s also a great way to stay fit, meet new people, and exercise problem solving. Climb Champlain brings students to and from local climbing gyms where students can be a part of a community that welcomes and supports everyone. Students will learn how to be stronger, safer, and respectful in a climbing environment and inform new and returning climbers about various skills necessary for the sport.

Champlain Ultimate Frisbee welcomes players of all skill levels to join weekly pick-up games. We’re happy to teach new players! Ultimate is a great opportunity to meet people on campus, get some fresh air, and have fun. We play casual games on and off campus, as well as other disc-related games such as KanJam and disc golf.

Description

The mission of our club is to foster a community of individuals who are eager to spend their time out in nature. Whether it be hiking across the rolling hills of Vermont’s Green Mountains in a sea of Fall colors, paddling through the lakes, creeks, and rivers of the New York Adirondacks, or gliding across the snow on one of many cross-country skiing trails, we are committed to getting you out there. Our trips vary in difficulty, ranging from casual day hikes simply meant for appreciating the beauty of the woods to strenuous treks that will be a true test of endurance and will. Regardless of whether you consider yourself to be a casual hiker or a rugged adventurer, there is something here for you.

Description

The Champlain College Dance Team is a fun way for students to dance in college without the pressure of tryouts. We work on many fun and unique projects during the year and experiment with different dance styles. At the end of the year, there is an opportunity to perform at the annual Champlain College Dance Team (CCDT) Showcase, with original choreography from our members. We strive to have a positive and safe environment for everyone to be in their bodies comfortably while dancing.
