Champlain’s Dare to CARE culture provides wellbeing resources to support your academic and personal success. From academic support to counseling and health services, to our fitness center and clubs and activities, there are many interactive ways for you to care for yourself and others. Let’s dig in!

SMART Space: Academic Coaching & Support

Champlain offers a wide variety of academic support options to ensure every student has access to resources like homework help and one-on-one assistance. The SMART Space houses academic tutoring centers for writing, programming, math, and more.

Care Team Referral

If you have a concern about a student who is displaying behaviors that may interfere with their ability to be successful in the college environment or that a student’s behavior or wellbeing are negatively impacting people around them, reach out to the Care Team.

Report a Concern

If you or someone you know needs to report a concern on campus, this list will direct you to the right information, forms, and contacts. Submit a report for a student of concern, bias incident, sexual misconduct and Title IX, and more.

Chauncey’s Cupboard Food Pantry

Champlain’s on-campus food pantry is available to all students, staff, and faculty. Stop by for both perishable and non-perishable items, hygiene products, and more!

Kognito Training: Helping Students in Distress

Learn how to handle situations where students may be in distress and when to seek help. This 40-minute virtual training is available to all students, staff, and faculty. Enter a virtual environment and engage in role-play conversations with emotionally responsive virtual humans.

Come check out the Champlain College Fitness Center! We pride ourselves on keeping our space clean, current, and fun, and we welcome the beginner, intermediate, and advanced-level individual.

Athletics & Recreation

Are team sports your thing? We have a wide range of intramural and club sports from dance to volleyball to esports and more. Whatever your athletic interests are, you’ll have no trouble finding people to team up with, have fun, and stay active!

1:1 Support From a Registered Dietician

Navigating college dining as a student just got easier! Talk one-on-one with Sodexo’s full-time dietician to learn how to best navigate:

  • Food allergies and intolerances
  • Vegan, vegetarian, or plant-based diets
  • Weight gain/loss goals
  • Eating habits
  • Disordered eating
  • Nutritional needs for student athletes

Wellbeing is a pillar of our New Student Experience-a holistic approach to your first year of education at Champlain. The combination of Orientation, Core, and InSight—including our Champ 101 program—provides the skills and preparation you need to succeed both personally and professionally while at Champlain and beyond.
