Institutional Research & Assessment serves as the main coordinator and producer of institutional reports and data survey responses for external regulatory and third party agencies, as well as internal stakeholders. Specific areas of interest include enrollment, admissions, retention, graduation rates, diversity,  and completions.

Data collection and reporting on institutional measures related to our financial standing, student financial aid, human resources, etc. is collected and disseminated in collaboration with other departments.

Common Data Set

Champlain College participates in the Common Data Set initiative, which is a collaboration between institutions and publishers to improve accuracy and quality of data regarding enrollment, students, academics, financial aid, faculty and other topics. Data reported is used by various organizations such as the College Board, Peterson’s, and U.S. News & World Report. IPEDS

IPEDS is a system of surveys conducted annually by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). Data reported to IPEDS is publicly available through their data center.
