New look, same Champlain

We’ve reimagined the virtual home of Champlain College—and we hope you like it! The new look is designed to improve features for all users and provide you with a clearer path to clearer information. We know that change can be hard, though, and we’re here to help answer your questions.

To assist you in the transition, we’re making resources available to the community throughout the coming weeks and beyond.

In the short term, if you see things that need to be fixed right away, please submit a webmaster ticket using the button below. We ask for your patience awaiting a response during this time—we anticipate a higher volume than usual as our community navigates the new website.

  • Great question! The website looks a lot different, but it also performs a lot different.

The most notable feature of the new website is that it’s more compatible with mobile devices. That means you can take us with you on the go and still have a great experience on our website.

The site is also slimmer and trimmer with better organization for all our users’ needs. From prospective students to current students, staff and faculty to alumni, we worked hard to create website that is easier to navigate and easier to understand.

Other aspects of the website that we’ve addressed include:

    • ADA Accessibility to ensure equitable access to our website for all users, regardless of ability
    • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to better share all great things we do at Champlain with the world
    • Faster site speed
  • Yes, your bookmarked pages should still work, but those pages will look different. If you click on a bookmark and arrive at a page that says “Sorry! We can’t find that,” check out the new Search feature in the top right corner of your screen.

If you really get stuck, submit a webmaster ticket.

  • The Faculty & Staff Central page was designed with service in mind. It’s a resource that includes quick links to resources and frequently visited pages by our faculty and staff. You can navigate to it through the For You menu. See the video below for reference.

  • Use the Search bar, located in the top right corner of your screen. You can search the website for words and phrases, names, and more to help find what you’re looking for (see demo below). Other options to help guide you are the For You menu, Main menu, and the Directory.

A tutorial of how to use the search bar on this website.

  • Located in the top right corner of your screen, the “For You” menu is a tool to help you find what you’re looking for based on who you are. Simply click the icon, choose which audience type you identify with, and explore frequently visited pages.

Don’t see what you’re looking for? Below the icons of frequently visited pages, you’ll find a link to even more information specific to your needs.

  • Compass Student Services is still the gatekeeper for taking care of all your business of being a student. They will help answer questions, but users may also want to check out the Office of the Registrar, Student Accounts, and Financial Aid. You may also consider exploring the For You menu to find things faster.

  • Use the Directory, accessible on all the menus in the top right corner of your screen. Near the bottom of each menu is a list of links that include the Office & People Directory. Once on that page, type in the name of the person or office you’re looking for.

  • Yes, you should continue to use your Champlain credentials and SSO on this site. If you had previously saved your login info, you may be required to re-enter it on the new site and re-save for future use.
