Steps to Apply

Students are required to fill out the 2025 Main Campus Summer Housing application, which is available on THD (The Housing Director) from April 7 at 5 PM – April 14 at 11:59 PM.

Housing is offered for the entire summer session and is not available on a weekly basis.

Students are expected to follow Champlain’s Student Code of Conduct at all times. Please note all College policies apply during the summer, and violators may lose the privilege of living on campus.

2025 Deadlines

Monday, April 7 at 5 PM – Monday, April 14 at 11:59 PM

  • Apply on THD using the Summer Housing Application
  • Submitting a summer housing application does not guarantee you will have summer housing.
  • Any late housing requests received after April 14 will be handled on a case-by-case basis as we are able.

Tuesday, April 15

  • Register employment with the Career Collaborative using this form.
  • All jobs and internships must be verified by the Career Collaborative no later than Wednesday, April 16. (Please ask your employer to respond quickly to the verification request.) Students without verification will not be approved to stay on campus beyond spring closing on Saturday, May 3.

Monday, April 21

  • Summer Housing approvals and assignments will be communicated.

When is the summer housing period and how much does it cost?

Summer housing runs from Sunday, May 11 through Saturday, August 9. The cost is $2,575.

Students who live on campus during spring or fall AND are approved for summer housing may live on campus between semesters to transition to their new room. The only requirement is that students may not depart campus until after they have moved to their new location, as we must have students move on a specific date due to cleaning and maintenance schedules.

If a student decides to leave campus prior to relocating to their new assignment, they must fully move out all of their belongings and may not return until the first day of the subsequent housing term (i.e. depart by May 3 and return on May 11).

Payment

Payments is due by May 1. Please contact Compass Student Services for questions or to set up a payment plan.

Any institutional scholarship assistance students receive in the fall and/or spring semester(s) will not be awarded in the summer semester. This means the student is responsible for paying all housing costs during the summer.

Location

Summer Housing for 2025 will be the 371 Main Street residence hall. 371 Main has a full kitchen, so students can prepare meals on their own.

Can I stay at 194 St Paul over the summer?

If you have a full 11 month contract for 194 St Paul starting June 1, 2025, you may live there over the summer.

There is no option for living at 194 St Paul for the summer only.

Can I get a meal plan?

Meal plans are NOT available. The dining hall will be open sporadically throughout the summer months, and summer students may choose to purchase individual meals when it is open. The summer residence hall has a full kitchen.
