Champlain College wants you to have the best and most up-to-date information before attending college this fall.

That’s why we’re hosting webinars for admitted students and their families where we outline some of college’s most important topics. Whether we’re covering financial aid or what to expect in residential life, these webinars will answer all of your questions so you can start classes this fall with all of the facts.

  • Attendees listened to former Vice President of Enrollment Robin Gronlund, Senior Director of Admissions Melissa Rosenberg, and Financial Aid Expert Katrina Bennett, who gave their insight on how financial aid can help students and families achieve the education that they want while getting the most out of aid packages.

    The session covered:

    • What Financial Aid is and how it works in higher education
    • Changes in deadlines and dates regarding FAFSA for 2023-2024
    • Helpful tips and tricks to help students and families get the most out of their aid
  • Attendees heard from Program Coordinator Anthony Rivers and current Champlain students who are shaping the Office of Diversity and Inclusion‘s programs and fostering an inclusive community. Students watching the webinar took part in a Kahoot challenge for a chance to win prizes, and engaged with in a Q&A session with ODI staff to get the most reliable and up to date information about diversity, inclusion, and belonging at Champlain.

  • Our Housing & Residential Life and Dining teams shared what it’s like to live and thrive in the Champlain community.

    The session covered:

    • Housing and move-in logistics and processes
    • Details about our first-year Victorian-era mansion residence halls and contemporary housing options
    • How to make meal plans, get dining hall hours, and request accommodations
  • Get the inside scoop on Champlain’s intentional Dare to CARE culture of wellbeing directly from the people who make it happen. Life isn’t just about surviving-it’s about thriving, and wellbeing is the key to unlocking your potential.

    In this event, faculty and staff covered:

    • Mindfulness to help students succeed
    • Available workshops, clubs, and classes
    • How to perfect your wellbeing with counseling and life hacks
  • In this session we covered tips and resources to help your student prepare for college life. Attendees heard from Champlain parents who have been through the college experience with their students and received their wisdom and valuable insights to help you prepare for the journey ahead.

    • Essential campus resources that can help ensure a successful first year
    • And a Q&A from attending admitted students
