  • Students will be selecting courses through AUT but will work with Champlain for class approval. Champlain students have to have classes approved by Champlain and may not receive credit for taking unapproved courses. AUT offers many classes relevant to different majors which are called papers. 60 points there equals 16 credits at Champlain. Students take four papers/classes – usually two core and two in their major. You should be looking at 500, 600 and 700 level classes, as 800 and above are graduate level courses. Search here for available papers/classes. After you find a good class, you can find similar courses by searching the Bachelor degrees listed for that class.

Sample Core 300 Courses (All pre-approved Cores are here.)

    • Core 301 or Core 303: International Noho Marae: Indigenous Encounters of a Maori Kind
    • Core 302: Our People, Our Stories: Contemporary New Zealand Oral Histories
    • Core 304: Design Storytelling

They will be housed in the Te Āhuru Mayoral Drive or the Wellesley student accommodation located right beside the city campus, their apartments offer an overlook on dynamic city living within the two high-rise apartment complexes where students will be offered spaces to both socialize as well as engage with others studying at AUT. Both single and shared style living is offered with both styles housing a kitchenette, king bed, as well as plenty of storage for all your needs.
