Parking Accommodations
Champlain College students with documented disabilities may request appropriate and reasonable parking accommodations.
Please complete the following steps to request parking accommodations.
Step 1: Fill out the Parking Accommodations Student Request Form
Step 2: Your Provider Submits Your Parking Accommodations Documentation
We ask all students seeking parking permit accommodations to send in documentation from a provider regarding their medical condition/disability. Below is a list of questions that you can send to your doctor. They will need to respond to the prompts in a letter format:
- Medical Condition/Disability
- Please describe your relationship with the student (e.g., physician, therapist, evaluator, etc.) and the duration of your relationship.
- Date of most recent assessment.
- Recommended reassessment date, if any.
- Test results/clinical observations in support of the above condition.
- To the best of your ability, please describe the student’s functional limitations that make a parking accommodation necessary.
- Please provide any suggestions regarding how we can best accommodate this student’s disability-related impairment.
- Will the student need to attend off-campus medical appointments in relation to this condition? If so, please share the frequency and location.
- Please provide an estimate for how long parking will be needed.
- Please include any comments or other information, including additional testing results, which may help us determine the most appropriate assistance for this student.
If you have a disabled parking plate/placard, you do not need to request parking accommodations. You may work directly with the Office of Transportation to acquire an appropriate permit.
Additional Accommodations

The Office of Accessibility offers a wide range of services to ensure students with disabilities have equitable access to their education.

Champlain recognizes that being able to fully participate in residential housing is a big part of the college experience. If you have needs that require special housing arrangements, we can help.

Test accommodations are any modifications made to tests or testing conditions that allow qualified students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a testing environment.
