Champlain College encourages all students to apply for financial aid—it's the only way to know if you will be eligible for grants, federal work study, loans, and scholarships, and it will not affect your chances of being admitted.

Financial Aid Application Process at Champlain College

The financial aid application process is separate from the admissions application. Do not wait for your admissions acceptance before applying for financial aid.

Because the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will not be available until December 2024, Champlain College is using the CSS Profile Lite application for Fall 2025 applicants. This allows Champlain College to  provide our incoming class with a prompt preliminary estimate of Federal Financial Aid.

Applicants will also need to fill out the FAFSA when it becomes available to get an official Federal Aid package.

Students seeking need-based funding from Champlain should submit the CSS Profile by the priority filing date found below. Although applications are accepted throughout the year, our need-based scholarships are awarded first to students who meet the priority filing date and then on a rolling basis, if funds are available.

Apply to Champlain

Submit your application for admission to Champlain College, but please do NOT wait to get your admission decision to apply for financial aid.

Complete Your CSS Profile Application

Submit your CSS Profile application (opens October 1, 2024).

When available, Complete Your FAFSA Form

When the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available, fill out the FAFSA for an official financial aid award.

Apply for State Grants and Scholarships

Complete any applications required for state grant and/or state scholarship programs.

Apply for Outside Scholarships

Apply for outside scholarships through your high school and local civic, professional, religious, and other community organizations.

Receive Your Offer Letter

A financial aid award offer will be sent to applicants who are accepted for admission.
