In 60 countries, Peace Corps Volunteers are putting their purpose, passion, and skills to work in partnership with welcoming host communities. Peace Corps service offers unique opportunities to begin your professional career doing meaningful, purpose-driven, and well-compensated work in an international environment. We are called “Volunteers” because we choose to serve, and the benefits are commensurate with the responsibilities we shoulder.

All Volunteers receive a no-cost passport, roundtrip airfare, a generous living allowance, secure housing, full medical care and paid vacation day. Student loans are deferred at no interest and are eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Volunteers who successfully complete their service receive a substantial resettlement allowance, are granted a preferential hiring status with the Federal government, and lifetime access to subsidized graduate degree programs. And, we have an amazing professional network.

Since its inception, almost 250,000 Americans have served in 145 countries as Peace Corps Volunteers. Currently, Peace Corps has missions operating in 61 countries with over 3000 Volunteers and Trainees working in the fields of Education, Health, Agriculture, Community Economic Development, Environment, and Youth Leadership Development.
Find out how you can become part of the legacy by joining one of the most respected international development organizations on the planet. Stop by the table to speak with returned Peace Corps volunteer Bill Bridgeford about his personal experience serving and about the application process. Bill will be hosting an information session later today.
