John James (JJ) Anderson

Biography

John James (JJ) Anderson supports everyone within the Champlain community through his role within ChampSupport, the campus IT support helpdesk. Following a successful undergraduate tenure in the CIT program at Champlain, JJ continually aims to provide friendly and insightful assistance wherever possible. JJ also continues his education through Champlain’s Online program (CCO), and he works with fellow Champlain graduates to provide contract IT solutions in the greater Vermont community as well.

Outside of his professional life, JJ often spends time with friends discovering a new board game, reading a book, or enjoying a leisurely bike ride when weather allows. He can sometimes be found grabbing a bite at Sneakers Bistro in Winooski.

Matt Huwiler

Biography

Matt Huwiler is a seasoned web developer with over two decades of experience at Champlain, where he currently works as a senior level Web Developer in the Information Systems department. In this role, Matt’s responsibilities include managing Single Sign-On (SSO), creating custom reporting solutions, building online payment forms, React Native development, and building/maintaining cloud server infrastructures. His diverse skill set allows him to tackle a wide range of programming, systems administration, and web development tasks.

Beyond his duties for Information Systems, Matt is passionate about teaching as an Adjunct Professor for Champlain College Online. He has taught courses ranging from JavaScript and iOS development with Objective-C and Swift to web media and vector graphics animation. He is dedicated to online teaching methods and enjoys sharing his knowledge with students.

Outside of work, Matt is deeply interested in emerging technologies such as DLTs and AI. He also has a keen interest in physical fitness, chess, and skiing. Despite working remotely from Michigan, Matt remains an integral part of the Champlain community and hopes to return to Vermont in the future.

Lyle King

Biography

Lyle is an alumnus of Champlain College with a BS in Mass Communications and over twenty-five years of professional experience in audio/visual (AV) technology support. He earned his AVIXA CTS® and Extron AVA certifications in 2013, and as a member of the Pivot Team, was recognized with the college’s John Lavallee Innovation Award in 2021.

As the manager of Media Services within the Information Systems department, Lyle works closely with his team and campus partners to identify and implement technology and multimedia solutions for campus spaces, events, and academic programs.

Sage King

Biography

Sage is a Burlington resident and Champlain College alum. He brings a multitude of experience with him to the Champlain team having worked in different fields from maintenance systems to microchip technology.

Sage enjoys sports and the outdoors and is also a part time firefighter for the City of Winooski.

Diana Matot

Biography

Diana Matot is a dedicated, long-time Champlain College employee with over 30 years of experience. She began her career with Champlain in the on-campus enrollment area and due to her love of systems moved to the Information Systems team where she is now the Vice President and CIO.

Having grown up in Vermont, Diana has always felt a strong connection to the local community and its values. After completing her education at Champlain, her career began in the insurance industry and after a few years her journey led her back to the College, where she found a dynamic environment that aligns with her commitment to excellence and innovation.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Diana enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Vermont in her Jeep Wrangler with her husband and spending time with family and friends camping, all with her camera in hand capturing the moments.

What are your hobbies?

Photography, Jeep Adventures and Camping.

Loves being on the back roads of Vermont on any of the many jeep adventures with family and friends.

Jen Perlee

Biography

Jen moved to Vermont in 1992 and has never looked back. She joined Champlain in 1994 and has never left. While always being on the Information Systems team she has done just about every job there is in IS. Currently she is our Sr. Salesforce Administrator and enjoys helping make our staff jobs easier which in turns helps our students succeed.

What are your hobbies?

Anything outdoors especially hiking, travelling, golf, finding the best maple creemees and volunteering.

Favorite local eateries and things to do in Vermont:

So many great farm to table restaurants and breweries in VT. I love to travel all over our beautiful state trying them all.

Ginger Pressey

Biography

Ginger Pressey, the Senior Associate Director of Enterprise Systems, brings a personable and proactive approach to her role. With a BA in Liberal Arts from Goddard College and an MBA from Champlain College, Ginger leverages her academic foundation to drive operational efficiency and system optimization. With an eye for enhancing workflows, she seeks to implement solutions that streamline processes and elevate performance. As a leader, Ginger cultivates an environment of collaboration, empowering team members to excel individually while achieving collective goals. Her adept problem-solving and sound decision-making skills combine to yield innovative solutions to systems challenges.

Dillon Toole

Biography

Following his graduation from Champlain College in 2020, Dillon pursued a career in film equipment rental houses in both Los Angeles and New York City. After accumulating several years of experience, he returned to Burlington as the new Senior Coordinator for the Champlain College Equipment Rental House. Dillon is also an Adjunct Faculty member and freelance writer, director, and cinematographer.
