Biography
Bruce Bovat began his role as Director of Champlain College Campus Public Safety in 2016. Prior to coming to Champlain, he led a 20-year career with the Burlington Police Department, holding a number of roles including Deputy Chief of Police and Director of the Chittenden Unit for Special Investigations. After his retirement from the City of Burlington, he spent 5 years as a Leadership Consultant for the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He also served 20 years in the Army National Guard before retiring in 2009.
