Chivomengro aims to publish a monthly zine of personal essays, satire, and cultural commentary. The staff loves to include graphically driven pieces, such as comics or graphic literature, that speak to the college experience.
Chivomengro stays true to its commitment to the writer—contributors have the freedom to submit what they want. The editorial team takes great pride in publishing essays on the human experience, including reviews of pop culture, music, movies, and satire pieces. Chivomengro highly encourages submissions from Champlain College students and remains open for reading on a rolling basis.

Description
Rock Climbing is a great way to de-stress after long days of studying and schoolwork. It’s also a great way to stay fit, meet new people, and exercise problem solving. Climb Champlain brings students to and from local climbing gyms where students can be a part of a community that welcomes and supports everyone. Students will learn how to be stronger, safer, and respectful in a climbing environment and inform new and returning climbers about various skills necessary for the sport.

DREAM is a mentorship program that works with youth from low-income households across Vermont, Boston, and Philadelphia. Our mission is to help close the opportunity gap by providing opportunities for local youth to engage in. Members of Champlain’s chapter mentor Vermont youth through social and educational enrichment activities in the greater Burlington area and here on campus. Our programming provides memorable experiences for mentees that broadens their horizons and encourages exploration.

The Darkroom Club offers the student body an accessible way to explore the increasingly rare medium of analog photography. This club will introduce students to our beloved darkroom and teach them how to shoot, develop, and print their own photographs. The Digital Forensics Association (DFA) is a dynamic student organization that meets biweekly. Open to students and faculty from all divisions, DFA offers an engaging platform to explore the intricacies of investigating, analyzing, and recovering digital evidence from electronic devices and digital systems. The Hearthlight Club meets twice a week to engage in physical activities using foam props. The main activities include games such as capture the flag and red-light, green-light. Include+ hosts weekly gatherings for LGBTQ+ students and allies to come hang out, and monthly educational events to improve our understanding of LGBTQ+ topics (as well as possibly some additional activities on top of that). This club provides a safe, welcoming space for any student involved in the queer community. Some activities we have done at club meetings in the past include video games, board games, chess, PowerPoint presentation nights, pizza parties, and nail painting.
