The world is a complicated place—different opinions and ideas are what make it interesting, but they can also lead to conflict or disagreements. Learn active listening skills to help manage everything from community conflicts to environmental policy implementation in a productive way.
You’ll focus on clear communication and develop a coherent plan for working with the key environmental, global, and interpersonal issues. With a concentration in Dialogue and Consensus Building, you’ll learn to negotiate more effectively; use mediation and conflict engagement skills fluidly and proficiently; effectively tend to your own emotional responses during mediation and other conflict engagement processes; and how to properly stage an intervention between the conflicting parties and gain the best results possible.
