In fact, we were named the Best Cybersecurity Higher Education Program by SC Magazine and recently launched a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Analytics. Leahy Cyber Symposium: Protecting Your Organization Against Cyber Threats

Recognized as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyberdefense Education and home to the Leahy Center for Digital Forensics and Cybersecurity, Champlain College invites you to attend the second annual Leahy Cyber Symposium. Inspired by Senator Patrick Leahy, this symposium is designed to cater to a diverse audience, ranging from employees and IT support personnel to chief information security officers (CISOs) and CEOs. No matter your role in the organization, if you’re invested in safeguarding your company’s digital assets, this symposium is for you.

Champlain Weekend: Cyber Ready

Date: Saturday, October 28, 2023

Audience: Alumni, students, and families

Champlain College is home to the Leahy Center, a world-class laboratory with state-of-the-art technology. Students working at the Center provide digital forensics and cybersecurity services to a wide variety of organizations, from government bodies to local businesses.

Our popular symposium is back and better than ever. Hear from our alumni and cyber professionals as you explore new trends, roles, and the skills required to succeed in this evolving field. The event includes a mixed format including a panel discussion with industry experts, alumni presentations, and current Leahy Center students working in the field along with networking breakout sessions. Simply put, Cyber Ready is the perfect opportunity to gain valuable insights and engage with Champlain’s network of students, alumni, parents, friends, and faculty working in the field.

Women in Cyber Summit: The Next Generation of Cyber Professionals

Date: Friday, November 3, 2023
Time: 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Audience: High school and college students, alumni, industry professionals, staff, and faculty
Bonus: High school students attending are encouraged to register for our Fall Open House the following day to explore everything Champlain College has to offer!

Champlain Women in Security students
Each year, Champlain students have the opportunity attend the Women in Cybersecurity (WiCys) Conference, hosted in cities across the U.S.

About the event:
Champlain College and our Women in Cybersecurity Leadership Council are excited to bring us all together to share knowledge and forge meaningful connections. If you want to learn more about cybersecurity, pursue a degree, enter the field, or connect with others who appreciate technology, this summit is for you.

The programming features a keynote presentation by Michele Tomasic, Deputy Director of the national organization Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS)! Get ready for interactive sessions, panels featuring cyber professionals, and expert speakers exploring topics like “Stories from the Front Line” and “How to Get into the Field.” There will be networking, mentoring, and learning opportunities for high school and college students, including guidance on how to start a WiCyS chapter at your school and assistance in applying for scholarships to the national WiCyS Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, in April 2024.
