- Join one of the Regional Alumni Chapters.
- Attend a Champlain College Alumni event. Alumni events are the perfect opportunity to network with Champlain alumni, faculty members, and potential employers, both in the Burlington area and in other major cities around the US. Event invitations are sent via email and are posted here on the Champlain College Alumni Facebook Page. Be sure to update your email address so we can stay in touch regarding events and campus news!

Resume Resources
Is your resume out of date? Make sure you’re updating it on a regular basis and following the basic Resume Writing Guidelines. Also, to really make your resume stand our, be sure that you:
- Tailor it to the job you are applying for by including your qualifications for the position right up at the top of your resume.
- Begin your phrases with action verbs and quantify (use percentages, frequencies, duration, amounts, etc.) to show the measurable results of your work.
- Include industry-related key words throughout your resume, and lastly,
- Highlight your accomplishments! The resume is the place to show off what you’ve achieved!
Champlain College Career Coaches will review your updated resume when feasible. We do not write resumes, but we will provide you with feedback on your draft resume if you would like. You may e-mail your resume and a copy of the job posting you are applying for, if applicable, to careercollaborative@champlain.edu. Turnaround time is usually up to ten days, depending on student needs at the time of your request.

Career Advising
If you are considering a career change, you may identify interests and skills by means of online resources:

Champlain College Career Coaches provide career advising support to alumni by means of 30 minute virtual meeting, phone, or in-person appointments when career coaches have availability (usually summer months and during winter and spring holiday breaks).
If you need immediate or more in-depth support, we can help you find a professional fee-for-service career counselor who may be able to help you navigate career changes you are considering. Feel free to e-mail us at careercollaborative@champlain.edu if you would like to schedule a phone, virtual, or in-person appointment—or if you would like us to send you contact information for career counselors who have helped other alumni. If you would like to recommend a career counselor who has successfully supported you, we would love to have your recommendations as well.
