Champlain Esports is a comprehensive, college-wide esports program. We support the success and fulfillment of our esports competitors as well as the dedicated Champlain community of esports managers, broadcasters, promoters, and enthusiasts.
Champlain Esports includes both varsity and club teams, which are open to students in all majors. Our state-of-the-art esports hub is home to our esports community and has been designed to build school spirit among students, faculty, staff, alumni, and in the local Burlington, Vermont, area.
Champlain Varsity Esports offers competitive athletic scholarships for student athletes, managers, and coaches! If you are hungry to be the best, driven to excel, and interested in receiving aid while representing Champlain College at a national level, you’ll find a welcome home in Champlain Esports!
The state-of-the-art Champlain Esports facility offers a home for competitive & recreational play, digital content creation, and live broadcasting. Featuring over 24 PC stations with high-quality PCs, game chairs, and all the latest hardware and software, the facility is open to all Champlain students. Champlain Esports Varsity teams get priority access to the facilities. If you’re interested in anything esports, this will be a welcome home for you to come and find your people.
At Champlain, esports is for everyone. To that end, we make sure to host esports events that encompass the full range of gamers, from recreational to hyper-competitive. Whether you want to chill out with a friendly Mario Kart tournament or give back to the community with our annual Extra Life event, there are many ways to participate and support the Champlain esports community.
Just like in traditional sports, there are many opportunities to contribute to the promotion and production of a game event that have nothing to do with actually playing the games themselves. There are many ways to build professional skills in areas like broadcasting, social media management, content creation, and facility and community management.
At Champlain, we believe in applied learning through work-study positions and internships. Champlain Esports has a number of positions each year that provide meaningful work experiences that are great professional résumé boosters. These esports-related jobs will give you real skills that will actively set you up for your future professional success in fields within and far beyond the business of esports.
